Note to Parents- Aug. 18

Hello Parents,

We have had a busy week getting our classroom up and running! As a TEAM we have been developing our classroom routines and expectations. We have visited the Science lab and worked on our understanding of how to use our five senses in scientific explorations. I have been assessing reading and math skills and building learning teams.

On Monday we will view the solar eclipse. Each student will receive a pair of safe viewing glasses for the eclipse. We will spend time Monday morning reviewing safe viewing practices for this event and learning about eclipses. Then we will head outside for about 30 minutes to see the effects of the pre, mid, and post solar eclipse. This should be a remarkable learning opportunity for the students!

Our classroom is NUT FREE!!!
