Hello Parents,

Yeah, fun was had by all on field day! Thanks to all parents who volunteered on Friday and helped to make our field day possible. Many students reported that field day was a blast!

No School Friday:

Remember that the students have Friday off! We will take our spelling test on Thursday.

Spelling words: Please remember we will be having weekly spelling test. It is essential to student reading and writing skills to practice understand these words each week.

Book Bags- Return on Wednesday. Each Wednesday new books will be placed in book bags. It is important to be reading these books several times throughout the week.

Sight Word Books- Starting Wednesday students will be bringing sight word books home to practice. Each Wednesday they will be tested on the next list/lists in the booklets. Send to school every day in their CALF binder so they can practice their list in centers or at independent work time.

Math:

The following is a link for parents regarding our new math curriculum. You can create a parent account and have access to information and examples to help with homework.

Field Trip:

We have scheduled our first field trip!! We will be going to the Cave of the Winds on November 1st. Permission slips will be ​coming home in Thursday folders this week. Please send back permission slips by October 6th. I can only take 1 chaperone on this trip due to space availability. There will be many field trips this year and I will do my best to accommodate every parent on at least one trip this year. If you are interested in joining us as a chaperone on this field trip please let me know. Parent chaperones will need to pay an entrance fee of $13 at the gate.
