Springing Forward!

Hello Parents,

*Literacy Objectives:

Phonics/spelling- Recognizing and decoding words with “y”- final /e/ & /i/

Memory word focus- down, too, work, many, first

Reading/fluently- Read and understand how-to text and how-to text features.

Writing- How-to-text

Please remember to have students practice reading their book bags books several times each week and practice sight words nightly. Each Wednesday students get new book bag books and are tested on sight words please send book bags and sight word books in each Wednesday!

*Math Objectives: Topic D of Module 3 concludes the module, students are learning how to organize, represent, and interpret personally relevant data. As students work as a class to collect, sort, and organize data into a graph, they find great purpose and excitement in data. They begin to answer, and then ask questions about, the number of data points in a given category, and in two categories.

**Students should be practicing their math facts each night for the “Bubble gum tests”
